One our two cats, Amy, washes her lower body between the hind legs and
there is now less hair there. Our vet says in can be caused by fleas, but
she has no fleas. Otherwise he says it's just part of her grooming and
that we shouldn't be concerned so long the skin is not bare. When we got
her from the shelter 6 years ago (when Mindy died) our vet said she had a
heart murmur and wouldn't last long. She hasn't grown very much in size
but dominates her sister, Emma - and is into everything in our home and
gardens.
