You've got to admit that your original post could easily lead anyone to
the 
same conclusion that dgk came to.   That being said, you could have just
as 
easily left off the last sentence in your reply, it contributed nothing
and 
made you look bad after what, at first, appeared to be a reasonable 
explanation.  Not that I feel a person's sole reason for having a cat
should 
be to "show" it.  But that's for another conversation and not one where
you 
should be made out to be the culprit, your friend on the other hand... 
Let's just say that when the FLA revolution occurs she will be the first 
against the wall.
