It is good that this is finally happening.
The widespread availability of inexpensive flea treatment encourages
more poor people to share their lives with cats. This has debased the
feline-human relation, much as the movement of canines into the inner
cities debased the canine-human relation****p.
It is much better that only the veterinarian-prescribed expensive
treatments (the vendors change every year or two) are legal. This keeps
cats living with fat cats the flea-free cats, and discourages the
untermenschen from living with cats.
Better that twenty million cats are abandoned each year due to flea
problems than that a "sometimes adverse reaction" medicine is used on
them.
