Any idea on his age?

I had a male guppy do this, fins up, looked fine other than he stayed at 
the bottom of the tank, except sometimes at feeding.  The reason I
received 
was he was old, he was mature when I purchased him and I had him almost a 
year.

This might be the case with yours..
