the typically cattle mineral blocks are generally refused by horses
Nutrena makes a horse block that I have had very good success with
there are also specialty blocks that are tailored to each area of
the country. I have pr oven to my self time and time again
that when horses start eating mud/dirt/wood ect they are seeking
"somthng" (some have a wood chewing vice but thats a different thing)
I have also seen horses with stomach problems eat dirt (ulcers) they
usually seek a type of heavy black clay.
