Beginner advice?

by "Mark" <noemail@[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Nov 4, 2006 at 09:16 AM

My boy would like to start trapping. He's 8.

I've never trapped.

We live in N. New England and have martin, fisher, fox, coyote, coon,
****cupine, probably mink and weasel.

I talked to a local who traps and he uses 110 conibear in a box for martin

and mink. Box has a screen on one end and open on other. The bait is
behind trap next to screen. He said state doesn't allow conibears greater

than 5" on ground.

What do you suggest to start out for a boy? I was thinking just a few
traps
for smaller furbearers.

Thank you.

Mark
