Good question. Another good question is, why are corn prices still lower
than they were in the seventies. Perhaps urban sprawl makes land prices
more profitable than farming, yet the increased loss of land to housing,
should make corn go up. But it hasn't.
As urban sprawl wipes out habitat, those urbanites that look at wildlife
as a novelty and want to save the wildlife from their very sickness that
endangers it. Loss of habitat due to their damn houses! Talk about out of
touch!
