Trapping vs Spam - Curing Hides

by "Bob La Londe" <usenet@[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Aug 23, 2005 at 07:28 AM

I read through this group and had to skip over nearly 20 threads before I
found my first trapping post.

So how did you guys do last season. I haven't layed a trap in the ground
in
years, but I have located some critters this year where I may do some
calling this winter. One fellow in the forums on my website even gave me
a
good lead on a big bobcat. The two of us will double team him this winter

one day, and I'll take him out to a couple spots I know where we shoudl eb

able to bag some yotes. I figure to dry and tan them myself for personal
use. I never did that before. I always just sold everything I caught.

I suppose I should chase down a subscription to The Trapper and Predator
Caller to get the latest prices and maybe find a good source to order some

tanning recipes. I haven't read a copy in several years. Is is still a
good magazine?
