I've read that cats and dogs can not digest corn and that any pet food
that has corn in it, especially as the first ingredient, is junk. So
I looked at my cat food and sure as **** the first ingredient was corn
or cornmeal or something. So I went to the store and found that
almost all of the foods had corn as the first ingredient including the
expensive ones. I found a cheap one that has corn as the 3rd
ingredient behind chicken by-products and fish. So I suplement this
food by putting tuna fish or sardines in with their food, plus a
liquid suplement. My one cat who was having coat problems got much
better real quick, but I slowed down with the human food and she;s
having problems again. SHould I just continue with the human grade
food? I was thinking of boiling a chicken and adding it (boneless of
coarse) as a cheaper supplement. I have heard that every cat food on
the market at any price is not FIT for human consumption. That means
that food is WORSE than a big mac and fries. Dead, dying diseased
(and one other- the 4d)is allowed in pet food. If it;s not good
enough for me, it's not good enough for them. Is that a good way to
go? Maybe all human food. I've heard rice is good too. How about
cheap steak? (cooked)
